The Board of Trustees of the Fulton Public Library are seeking a full-time Library Director.
The Fulton Public Library serves the city of Fulton, NY, and is part of the North Country Library system. The current building was completed in 1906 and is one of 107 Carnegie libraries in New York State. In addition to traditional materials and services, the library offers digital resources like free Wi-Fi and access to comprehensive databases. The library has embraced deeper community involvement by offering innovative services, such as hosting donation-driven “Comfort Cabinet” campaigns and enabling patrons to borrow YMCA memberships and local museum passes, affirming its role not only as a repository of knowledge but also as a vibrant community hub.
This position serves as manager of library operations and building maintenance and works closely with the Board of Trustees.
This is an administrative position involving responsibility for all library functions and facilities. The work involves carrying out board policy as determined by the Fulton Public Library Board of Trustees. Direct supervision is exercised over the work of other library personnel.

40 hours/week including a monthly evening board meeting. Evening and weekend hours may be required based on committee meetings and library events schedule and needs.
$55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience. This is a Civil Service position. Benefits include: NYS ERS Retirement System, health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, sick leave, and professional development support.
