School Media Specialist/ Librarian

The Library Media Specialist (LMS) at Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School serves as the leader of the school’s hub of literacy, learning, and discovery. Grounded in the school’s Ecosystem of Basketball, the LMS designs, develops, and manages a dynamic library program that integrates literacy, research, media, and technology across all content areas while supporting students’ academic, social, and personal growth.

This role is central to building a college- and career-ready student body by fostering a culture of reading, supporting interdisciplinary learning, and creating meaningful experiences through partnerships, programming, and real-world connections.

Our mission is “A Ball and A Book Can Change the World.” This newly created position will play a pivotal role in helping students develop meaningful relationships with reading and literacy while creating a library environment that serves as a school-wide resource for students, teachers, and families.
